 Jab We Met (2007)
IMDB rating: 7.90
Plot: Bhatinda-based Geet Dhillon lives a wealthy lifestyle along with her parents and extended family consisting of her paternal grandfather, uncle, and a cousin, Roop. She re-locates to study in Mumbai and lives in a hostel. On her way home she boards the Punjab Mail on Chatrapati Shivaji Terminus and gets to share her berth with a young man named Aditya Kashyap. She finds him rather depressing and when he attempts to jump off the train, she stops him, and attempts to cheer him up with her non-stop chatter – albeit in vain. At Bar Nagar he alights from the train and she follows, both end up missing the train and take a taxi-cab to Ratlam which is the train’s next stop. They barely make it, Aditya goes his way, but Geet misses the train which goes on it’s way to Kota along with Geet’s belongings. Both meet again and end up spending a few hours at a motley hotel, but their stay is interrupted when Police swoop down on it, forcing them to flee along with other guests. They trek the rest of the way by bus, then by car and end up at Geet’s residence where preparations are under way for Geet’s marriage with her childhood friend, Manjeet Singh Mann. But Geet wants to marry Manali-based Anshuman, so she plans a getaway with Aditya’s help, leaving the Dhillon family to construe that both had eloped. Nine months later the Dhillons catch up with Aditya and ask him to bring her back to Bhatinda within 10 days. Aditya, who has been dumped by his girlfriend, has his mom run away with another male, have his dad pass away recently, apart from carrying the load of Kashyap Group of Industries, must now contend with the Dhillon family. The question remains is Geet living with Aditya or is she with Anshuman, and if she is with Aditya – why would it take him 10 days to bring her back to Bhatinda?

Cairn terrier adoption.?
I’m thinking of taking on a one year old Cairn terrier from a reputable rescue centre, the dog has been jabbed, vet checked, neutered etc. We have had our adoption form accepted as we fit all the criteria required for that particular dog. We are now waiting for a home inspection after which we will be able to meet the dog and see how we all get along. The rescue centre seems very professional and very helpful and caring towards the animals. I’ve always had dogs from pups my last one a standard Yorkie who was a typical wilful terrier so I am prepared for the ups and downs of keeping a terrier. Just wondering if anyone else on here has rescued a dog and is there any advice you can offer or if there’s anyone on here with experience of Cairns who can give any helpful tips. I have researched the breed on the internet but it’s always more informative when you hear from someone who has had first hand experience. Many thanks!!
I’m excited for you! Cairns are brilliant little dogs. I got my Cairn X from a pound when she was about seven months old. She had been a stray so I don’t know her background but she is superb. I had very few problems housetraining her and she hardly ever chewed a thing.
She is the kindest and sweetest little dog around people and particularly adores children, but she is also incredibly energetic and happy and healthy. She will chase a ball endlessly and run for miles behind a horse, but at home she just wants to be stroked and hugged, and carries her toys about in her mouth.
Really, since I’ve had her I can’t tell you the number of people who’ve said to me ‘I’d only get a dog if I could have one like yours’.
I would say be prepared to give your dog loads of exercise. My dog basically has two 40 minute runs and five minutes at lunchtime every day. All runs involve her chasing a ball almost constantly, so she gets a LOT of exercise. In between walks, she just sleeps or watching the garden for cats. She’s very alert and LOVES to be able to see out of a window.
She was so easy to train. She is brilliant with sheep and other livestock.
The only bad points I can say about her are that she hates being left behind – even with my other dog. She really wants to be with me all the time, and makes me feel guilty when I go out. But she’s never destructive when I DO leave her. She can also be a bit intolerant of other dogs, especially very bouncy ones, but rarely gets into a fight. When she DOES however, she never knows she’s beaten and will happily take on really big dogs. But I guess that’s just terriers for you!
Other than that she’s perfect. Hope yours is too!

They’re a loyal little dog with tons of energy. If you have had terriers before you already know about their energy level. Have fun and enjoy your little dog.

I’ve never known life without a cairn!! I love them.
This webbie explains exactly how i would describe them.

They are a very headstrong, domineering and stubborn breed, as are other terriers, but they really are brilliant dogs.
Cant help with rescue dogs sorry.. our cairns have always come from breeders, we’ve never been able to find one in a rescue centre near where i live, which has to be a good thing.
