If everyone has an immortal soul why did God kill his Son to give us immortality?
Why would God sacrifice his only begotten son that whosoever believeth on him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16
If everyone already has a spirit that cannot die. Then you are saying God is a fool and sacrificed his son to give is something EVERYONE ALREADY HAS!??! And newsflash it says; "HAVE" everlasting life.
IT does not say; GO TO; heaven. Zoe means life it is a thing not a place.
Well…. the simple and straightforward answer is…. the soul is NOT immortal! That’s why God had to send His Son to the world to die to save us and give us immortality and everlasting life because we don’t inheretly have it! It’s ridiculously simple, but a lot of people don’t fully understand it. I’m glad you asked this question because it means you’re a thinking and intelligent person. God alone has immortality (1 Tim 6:15,16), and when we die we don’t go straight to Heaven or Hell; we are in an unconscious state and don’t experience thought processing or feel emotions anymore (Eccl 9:5,6; Eccl 12:7; Psalm 6:5; Psalm 115:17). The part people trip up on is about the "breath and the spirit returning to God". The spirit that goes back to God doesn’t feel or think; it’s just a breath. It’s the life-giving power or energy that comes from God. And when we die, that power simply goes back to God. It’s like when there’s a black out, the energy supply is cut off and there’s no more light. It’s all darkness. When we die our "power supply" is cut off. Our "soul" is not the breath itself, it is the combination of the breath of life from God and our bodies (Gen 2:7). When we die our bodies which are made out of dust go back to the earth and decompose, and the breath of life goes back to God and our souls are no more. Does that make sense? When you make a box you use wood and nails to put it together, then it becomes a box. When you take it apart, it just becomes wood and nails again. The same principle applies to our souls.
Now you may be wondering how does Heaven and Hell fit into all this? Jesus will come back to this earth to give every man his reward for his deeds on earth (Rev 22:12). The righteous will be taken with Him back to Heaven and the wicked will go to Hell. The dead will rise from their graves (1 Thess 4:16,17) and those that lived for Jesus during their life will be caught up in the clouds to meet Him in the air, and the wicked who have showed in their lives that Heaven is not a place where they would enjoy themselves will go to Hell.
Jesus had to die to give us all a chance for immortal life if we so choose. Because of sin blood had to be shed to pay the price for our forgiveness. Without the shedding of blood we cannot have forgiveness of sin (Matt 26:28; Heb 9:22). That just shows how serious sin is to God; He had to send His Son to died to pay the price of sin (which is death; Rom 6:23) so that we wouldn’t have to die the 2nd death and go to Hell. Jesus is our substitute and it is up to us to accept or reject His sacrifice for us.

Our souls are eternal.
But the salvation from hell is what the real issue is.
you cannot kill the soul.
therefore Christ had to redeem it for us, in place of us, by going to hell for us, so that we do not have to go to hell……
this provides our only hope of Salvation.
There is no other.
Greeks will tell you, that Zoe refers to life.
But, Hey I will spin you out just a little, by telling you that the Greeks
know that Zoe without the Lord Jesus is
living without Life.

I think god wanted to display resurrection of his son’s death to show that since Jesus can perform miracles, he’s also capable of rising from the dead. What about people? Well, god made his son in man’s image (our planet, others don’t know) die and come back to life. This way, people can see that if they are good they will have a better destination. I cannot explain why we’re buried, but the soul can travel, have no fear of that. Most people can. To find out more about what the soul can do, pay close attention to the places you’ve seen, felt and heard in your dreams. Dreams exist. Jesus’ body was too pure to be buried on this earth maybe. He spilled blood, that was enough.

Heaven is our next stage of the growth of our consciousness. During this life we have been put in charge of our own spiritual consciousness development. This is free will. Do not be mislead, the true temple is within, do not allow anyone to tell you different. The key to opening the gate of consciousness is the true "fruit of knowledge", the psilocybin mushroom. At the end of your physical life, if you have not established your spiritual consciousness already, it will be too late. This is something we all have to do while we’re "alive".

Immortality and Everlasting life are similar, but not the same thing. Immortality is simply to exist forever. Everlasting is to live forever in heaven. As no unclean thing can enter heaven, Jesus’ death and resurrection enables us to enter heaven if we persevere, giving us the higher everlasting life.

God sent his son Jesus to die because HE loves us and simply wants us to go to heaven to be with him. with out that everyone would all go to HELL once we died!

Well the theory there is that Immortality is everlasting, but not indestructible. You die here, your soul lives on. But there are other sections in the bible about the place of wailing and gnashing of teeth. This is supposed to be hell. Hell is supposed to be a second death. I choose to believe rather then sending the wicked to eternal damnation, since God loves us all regardless, His judgment is fair and if we are unwelcome in the kingdom of heaven he would sooner dispel our soul.
Jesus died so we’d believe and thus become morally established. This will allow us access to heaven. If we choose worldly possession it’ll be more like a 2nd death.
